AP Govt inks pact with Byju’s to ensure quality school education – WeezerSongs

Vijayawada: Taking another leap in the realm of education The State Government has made a deal with Byju’s which is an internationally-respected technology and education company that provides quality education to the students of government schools.

With the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohanreddy, The MoU was signed by the Commissioner of Schools Education S Suresh Kumar on behalf of the state while Susmit Sarkar, Vice-President (Public Policy) was the Byju’s representative.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that he was delighted to be a partner with Byju’s which will transform the lives of students in need and guide them to be better learners. He said that the high-quality Byju content will assist students to comprehend visually and will assist students to achieve better results. The initiative will be accessible to students who are in between classes IV-X in all the government schools in the State.

The Chief Minister announced that tabs would be made available to help students currently in class VIII. They will be taking the class X exam at CBSE in the year 2025. He emphasized the need to make available digital learning techniques to students as well as provide education to teachers. He stated that the government would distribute the bills for 4.7 million students by September, at the cost of 500 million.

The content of Byju was not accessible to private schools, unless they pay an annual subscription, while Byju’s content is now accessible at no cost to students at government schools, he explained. He thanked the CEO of Byju Ravindran for stepping forward to create a better educational system.

Following a review of the authorities, the Chief Minister was asked to speak about the agreement reached with Byju and directed the officials to implement the program successfully.

The authorities were instructed to work towards the introduction of Byju’s content into textbook format both in English in addition to Telugu mediums. In addition, he requested the authorities to install televisions in every classroom in the Nadu-Nedu program to provide visual content to students. He emphasized the importance of providing quality education, especially to students who are studying the classes VIII, IX, and X to achieve excellent outcomes, and said that a Tab will be distributed to students of class VIII each year. This Tab can then be used for future classes too.

Ravindran was awed by chief minister Byju for their speed and dedication to transforming the education system to provide a high-quality education for students. He added that the introduction of Byju’s curriculum to the state schools would yield better outcomes. He also said that they’re making efforts to help millions of students since they are the biggest educational company in the world.

Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana Special CS for School Education Budithi Rajasekhar and School Education Commissioner S Suresh Kumar, Intermediate Education Commissioner MV Seshagiri Babu, SSA SPD Vetriselvi, Byju’s Vice-President (Public policy) Sushmit Sarkar and other high-ranking officials attended the function.
