Nelson Dilipkumar (aka Nelson) is a promising Indian Director and Screenwriterwho mostly works in Kollywood. His directorial debut was in the film black comedy Kolamaavu Kokila (2018) with Nayantara along with Yogi Babu which ended up being a commercial success. His next project Doctor (2021) starring Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan is among the blockbusters that are currently in Tamil cinema.
In November of 2020 Nelson’s close friend and colleague Anirudh Ravichander introduced him to the public as an appropriate director for Actor Vijay’s 65th film. This allowed him to produce The Beast as a pan-Indian film that premiered on the 13th of April in 2022. At the moment, Nelson is directing Superstar Rajnikanth’s Thalaivar 169 and the title of the film was disclosed: Jailer.
